A man dressed in a rainbow-colored costume made of fringed paper strips stands in front of an open vehicle trunk decorated with rainbow-colored paper strips. The man is smiling, sitting with legs apart, holding glasses in his right hand and resting his left hand on his knee. The setup suggests a festive, colorful celebration, possibly related to Pride.

Hi! I’m Bill, the creator behind 3, 2, 1 Piñata!

I’ve always enjoyed playing games — especially the kind that bring people together where everyone is laughing, competing, and immediately asking to play again. That idea became the foundation for 3, 2, 1 Piñata!, but the game’s main gameplay mechanic was formed from a surprising angle: my 6-year-old daughter.

Once the gameplay mechanic was set, the game evolved through countless play tests, rule changes, and a few prototypes until it became the fast-paced, candy-grabbing experience it is today. My goal was to create something easy enough for new players to learn quickly, while still giving enough strategy and chaos to keep everyone excited.

One of my favorite parts of designing the game has been watching different people play it. Adults, kids, families, and groups of friends approach the game all in their own way — and the reactions when someone pulls off a come-from-behind victory never gets old.

Pineappbill Games was created with the goal of making approachable, replayable games that create fun moments around the table. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported 3, 2, 1 Piñata! so far, whether through play testing, reviews, sharing the game, or bringing it to family game night.
